Wanted one of those cool tipout drawers, instead of deadspace in front of the sink? Let me show you how I did mine!

I got the Rev-A-Shelf 6551-36-11-ETH, this comes with a 36" long white polymer tray which you cut to the length you need, and Euro hinges instead of the standard hinges.

Installation was easier than I expected, although I didn't follow the directions (I didn't think the directions were very good):

  1. I drilled the holes for the hinges on the sides (didn't measure, just placed them a couple of millimeters back from the edge and over the bottom), and screwed the hinges to the cabinet.
  2. I set the 30" drawer front carefully in place, on top of the closed hinges, then had someone hold it while I marked the drill spots with a pencil, reaching from below (this was tricky).
  3. I drilled on the 30" drawer front, and attached it to the hinges.
  4. I cut the tray to about 25" (had to be a bit smaller than you would on a regular door because you can't drill on the aluminum part of the LINJÄR handle, so the tray sits a bit lower), then screwed it to the drawer front (hinges fully extended made this easy).
  5. Hardly any adjustments were needed, I did raise one side a tiny bit, but only because I am anal.

And here's the finished product:
