Domsjo Sink: Drilling Additional Holes

There is a lot of information on the web concerning cutting holes in porcelain tile and glass. We just used that same information to cut a hole in the Domsjo sink deck. The Ameriglas website seemed to have the most useful informaiton concerning what is involved in drilling a hole in this type of material.

Disclaimer: I'm no expert at this. If I can do it, anybody else can do it too.

Re: Domsjo Sink: Drilling Additional Holes

How has this worked out? Any cracking along the hole?

How do you fill the space caused by the sink's ribbed deck?

Re: Domsjo Sink: Drilling Additional Holes

Is there a ribbed cover plate that can be placed on sink base surface and flat on the top side? Not sure I understand how another facet base would mount flush? Wanted to install an RO facet. Would think it would ride sit high on the ribs?

Re: Domsjo Sink: Drilling Additional Holes

The sink is designed to accept any single lever/hole faucet - these will sit flat on the center deck of the sink. Beyond that small area, there is no adapter to make a good seal on the ribbed portion of the sink - you have to use silicone caulk or similar material, which may not give you as finished a look as you might want.
