I've seen the post about the oven panel with L brackets supporting the end run dishwasher. How many of you out there have actually implemented this solution? I'm installing 3/4" silestone and I'm just looking for some reassurance that it'll definitely hold up. Also, I plan on attaching a wall mounted drop leaf table on the side opposite the dishwasher... see image for details. I am having the contractor build me a little wall extension so that the oven panel has something extra sturdy to attach to, plus the norbo drop leaf requires 31", while the dishwasher is only 24" deep... so the drop leaf will be attached to the wall and oven panel (in the image it is shown as extended, but it will fold down and not intrude on the living room). Will the cover panel support the countertop and the table? Should I sacrifice another few inches and have the contractor build out a wall instead of the cover panel? I plan to make the wall the same height as the cabinets and extend the counter top over it.

Another question, if i decide to not put the drop leaf on the end, since the dishwasher extends past the wall, instead of building a wall extension, could I use two cover panels in an L shape to support the cabinets around the dishwasher (the panel behind the dishwasher would only be 12" long, it only hangs half way outside the original kitchen)?
