Thanks in part to this website, we're in the last stage of installing our base cabinets, and along one wall, we have from Left to Right: 24", 15", DW , and 36" sink cabinet. We were told at the store that we needed an oven panel to act as support between the DW and the sink cabinet. We're installing granite countertops. Is this accurate? If so, should we follow the instructions on this site for the DW at the end of a run?

	DW definitions DW can mean Dear or Darling Wife (or substitute your expletive), or alternatively DishWasher. Take your clues from the context.

I had the same concerns as you.

EvaP told me it was not necessary, but I bought an oven panel anyway just to be safe, since going to IKEA is a major production (we don't have a car).

As you can in my blog entry, Eva was right and we didn't need it. We used Silestone quartz which I think is pretty comparable to granite but not sure if granite is heavier.
