hello all

first time here, so hopefully someone can figure out my problem

I am trying to put together the aneboda 3 chest of drawers but (step 17) in the manual when i am trying to put screws in the drawer guides, it does not seem to fit. i am almost there, just cannot find a way to fix the drawer to the ruler/guide thats affixed to the frame.

Does not seem to fit in any real spot, what am i doing wrong ?

any help appreciated. just very frustrated right now

Welcome to IKEAFANS! I don't have my Aneboda dresser anymore, but I do remember being frustrated trying to get the drawers installed.

As I recall, the 'trick' was simply to pull out the rail extensions on either side, prop the drawer up in the middle (start at the bottom to make this easier), and position the drawer so the rails can slide all the way forward until they touch the drawer fronts.

At that point, the holes will line up (with a bit of wiggling) and you're off! Your note made me remember how I felt at the time - I was convinced that the instructions were wrong or that I had done something incorrectly, but no - just pull the rails forward and everything lines up. Your frustration is understandable, but it all comes together in the end...
