So, we've spent forEVER installing our new kitchen, from recessed lights, to cork flooring. We have Adel MB cabinets with LANSA 9 5/8 stainless handles on all the cabinets. Well, not ALL the cabinets.
I went to Ikea Orlando yesterday to get the 8 handles I still needed to complete the job and was told that they are OUT and won't be getting anymore in that size in stainless. They had them in BLACK only. OY! Inventory was checked in other Ikeas, but to no avail. (If anyone happens to see them in Woodbridge or College Park, let me know. I'll be there next week.)
I have found similar ones online, but since the ones I have installed are 5/8 in diameter, I don't want to put up ones that are 1/2 in diameter. If push comes to shove, I can relocate existing handles so that "similar" ones are located in inconspicuous areas only. However, if I can get the LANSA 9 5/8, then that's what I'd like to stick with.
If anyone out there has 8 handles (I could use 16, but that's only if I use them in the pantry) of the LANSA 9 5/8 in stainless, please let me know. I'd be happy to take them off your hands (paying for them, of course).
Hi Emily, I didn't forget about you! The handles I have are in a part of my garage that I need my man to get to, but I'll be able to let you know what I've got by early tonight!
I only have one of the shorter ones which I need to keep as a spare...but I have several of the longer ones if you need that size. Let me know and I'll be happy to send you four if needed.
Did you try the office section of IKEA? In the Stoughton store, they have the Lansa handles in that department also. I will be at the store Thursday, I think. If you want, I can buy them for you. Last week they had a fair amount in stock. If they still do, I'll pick up them up for you.
I tried the office section, the bathroom section, the kitchen section and had one of the employees check the computer.
If you can find the 9 5/8 LANSA stainless, I would be very happy if you'd get me 5 two-packs. I have had responses from other Ikeafans and they're sending me some, too. All told, I should be able to put the handles on the cabinets in my pantry, too!
Let me know how you'd like to arrange the payment.
Last I was at Woodbridge (couple of weeks ago), they still had bins of Lansa handles in all sizes marked down, but not on clearance. I was going to buy a bunch because I know that people are going to be crazed for them as soon as they're not available (what is IKEA thinking???), but they were still $6-$8 each - too rich for my blood on spec alone.
Hopefully you can get what you need! If you find them, consider picking up some extras to help out others in need in the future....
I think the clue is that they were in bins. When I was in Ikea Orlando a couple of weeks ago, they had bins full, too. I bought a bunch, but I've discovered I needed more. I went back, and BAM! they're discontinued.
I'll be in VA and MD next week and I'll be stopping in the Woodbridge and the College Park Ikeas to take a look. I've had some great responses in here and have just about all I need now, but if they have any in bins in VA and/or MD, I'll buy them out! I'll be the LANSA handle go-to girl!
