I got to the final drawer of the MALM 6 drawer chest and realized I was missing four cam bolts, the smaller ones #110630. I called IKEA and they said I would have to bring it back to get more, since it is just about finished, I don't want to take it apart to bring it back, especially with IKEA being 45 minutes away. I checked Home Depot and a couple of other hardware stores in the area and couldn't find the right size cam bolt. I was wondering if anyone had any extras that they could spare.
Can you post a photo? Many of us have the gimantic bag o IKEA parts, but I don't know the cams you're speaking of, so need a visual guide. Would be happy to send along if I have them!
We have exactly the same problem! Same item, too -- Malm 6 drawer chest! We've had it for a while, and one of the drawer fronts just fell off, and I discovered that it was just stuck on, with NONE of the 4 cam bolts installed! All of the other drawers were assembled correctly. I don't remember assembling the thing, and it's my wife's chest, so I'm guessing she ran out of parts and just stuck the last drawer-front on without them, and it took years for it to fall off. Guessing.
Anyway, we're short 4 of the short cam bolts -- Ikea part #110630 -- here in Toronto. The local store guy said we should drop by and see if there are any spares in the box. He can't check, and it changes from hour to hour. If we can get some by mail, that sounds way more convenient. Yes, please??
I went (again) to a local IKEA, and when I finally had my number called, the clerk was nice enough to give me 4 of them without even charging. It wasn't 'til I got home that I discovered that they're a bit bigger than the ones that fit our chest of drawers!
I'm not sure which of them is Ikea part #110630 -- probably not BOTH!
Anyway, I've just shifted around the ones we've got, so all the drawers stay together (so far!).
