Things are going waaaay too fast now. Plumber came and replaced corroded waste pipe, but tore big hole in the wall. Counter guy called and said, good news--the counter is done in two days instead of five or more! Meaning, we ahve to get all teh cabs set NOW.

So we put the wall oven cab in place and realize--the new outlet is in the floor. Electrician said that's where people put them these days. The cabinet sits on top of the outlet (no problem since it's raised, of course). But how the heck do you get the chunky clunky plug down to the outlet! All we can figure is carving big holes int eh shelf and bottom of the cabinet.

Any thoughts? Ideas?

Here is the back of the oven cab and the outlet

First, see if you can remove the cord from the oven. Usually they come separately, and you wire it into the oven, so if you can do that, feed the cord through the hole in the cabinet before installing it on the oven.

Otherwise, hole saw. The hole might not be as big as you think. You could probably do a sort of halfmoon on the bottom and a halfmoon on the backpanel (sort of like a circle folded in the middle) to get the necessary diameter.
