Vika Byske legs with non-wal?lmounted table (Vika Amon)

I have been looking for a small and high table and I thought I just found the perfect combination, VIKA AMON 100x60cm tabletop with the VIKA BYSKE legs than can be adjusted to 107cm high. Only after I got home with my (still packaged) AMON tabletop and 4 legs did I notice that you could only combine the BYSKE legs with the 2 BYSKE tabletops, apparantly you can only combine the BYSKE legs with a wallmounted tabletop. Can anyone tell me why and/or if it might still work with 4 legs and a small table? I'm getting desperate since no other high table/bar will fit in my tiny corner of the room.

Re: Vika Byske legs with non-wal?lmounted table (Vika Amon)

hello.

i did this with the vika kaj (i don't like chrome or the price) legs and went a bit higher (approx 110 - the measurement ticks are visible, but who's looking?) than the stated max height (to cover a useless room heater and exhaust pipe). no wobbles for my 150x75 top, so you could do this for a small table and probably get very good stability.

good luck!

Re: Vika Byske legs with non-wal?lmounted table (Vika Amon)

Thanks so much! I was about to put the table together with the BISKE legs in hopes it would work but I had unpacked one and screwed the 2 parts together and noticed it is a bit wobbly where the 2 parts meet which is probably why it's meant for a wall-mounted table. I went back to IKEA and had a look at the KAJ legs and traded them in, half the money back and I'm all set to go and set up my table now.
