Hello everyone, i post in another old thread about the update of my kitchen, maybe the thread not appear at the top, it don't get a very well response which i need.
To refresh your memory, i am doing an APPLAD WHITE (due to budget) kitchen very long time ago (maybe 1 years ago) and when it is almost complete, i found paint crack at the edge of the door and drawer front. And after long investigate, Ikea promise to give me a replacement of door.
I have a chance to get rid of this door style and choose another one by top up the different. I have an ivory colour tiles floor and ivory wall and white colour solid top. I am thinking consider among Sorbo, Nexus Yellow Brown and Nexus Brown Black, which you guys think it is more suitable to my current kitchen? i would like to keep the Penisular area remain Applad white since it got a butcher block as counter top.
And i need to make the order the latest is tomorrow. I hope I can get some little help or comment on my kitchen. THANKS
I voted for the Nexus Yellow Brown. I prefer the Nexus Brown Black, but it shows nicks/scratches/dust more than the Yellow Brown.
I think your kitchen could stand some color so I'd probably stay away from the white cabinets. I love the Adel MB so I'll throw that out there too. The Yellow Brown though would probably coordinate with the butcher block better!
Yes, I second that, yellow brown will look lovely. I know I am a little late with the response as you needed to make your order yesterday, however, if you did choose that one as recommended by hllb you might feel better .
Definitely the Nexus Yellow-Brown. If you are going to keep the peninsula area with the current Applad White and butcher block countertop, the yellow-brown will compliment it nicely. The yellow-brown will also blend better with the floor than the black or grey.
Thanks for giving opinion, I am not waiting the Ikean come to my house again to inspect carefully again which door to change and which is not. Before they finalize, we still have some room to discuss what colour i should change or remain.
I will buy a dining table (a round white marble table with black brown leg ) and put at the space after the penisular. in that case, i should take brown black or yellow brown?
As far as the doorstyles go, Nexus Yellow Brown was my favorite for what I could tell in your pictures. It's really hard to judge exactly what color your floor is by the picture.
Is there a little bit of yellow-color to your "ivory" floor? For this reason, I wasn't picking the Nexus Brown-Black. If your "ivory" is a little more gray in tone (which I don't see), AND the tile that is behind your cooking area is gray in tone (which looks like it could be, or could be more brown-tone?), AND if the brown-black legs of the table matched the Nexus Brown-Black, then I'd go with that doorstyle. And, of course, I haven't seen the table to know what the "white marble top" looks like.
From just seeing what I can see from the pictures, the Nexus Brown-Black will go with your countertops and possibly be fine with your backsplash. I'm just not sure about the floor. Of course, that's just my opinion. What really matters is what you believe will look good.
I think the best thing to do would be to bring a small door home of the Nexus BB and the Nexus YB and place them on the floor up against your cabinetry for a few days to see what looks best to you.
(I think adding Sorbo would be just adding another white that wouldn't perfectly match the Applad)

You are correct, My floor is ivory in yellow tone(infact, whole house same colour), and my whole kitchen tiles (everywhere) is beige colour in grey tone.
You make me confuse, Sorbo is dark grey with birch at the side, isn't it?
You know what, we got a lot of white colour in malaysia market, Arlig, applad, Stat, lidingo, Abstrack. we don't have Solar. , We have Rubrik series also.
Sorry to confuse you about the Sorbo. I was obviously having a brain freeze! Sorbo is grey with wood trim. For some reason I was getting it confused with Solar white. Go figure.!
BTW, beautiful table and chairs! I think they would go beautifully with the Nexus BB.
Again, I would get a sample door of both the Nexus BB and the Nexus YB and live with them for a few days. Too much money to go on advice from anyone who doesn't live in your kitchen and can't see the doorstyles against your floors.
