Perfekt cover panels for base cabinets: why different?

Just finishing our new kitchen (ABSTRACT Red and white!) and we
have been fighting a lot with cover panels!
We have wall, base and tall cabinets and have the 3 kids of cover panels.
First there are now real instructions .... but that's ok.
What is really upsetting is that the cover panels for the base cabinets are not really the same as the other ones. For one they are thicker (3/4" versus 1/2"), then the instructions are for covering maybe a door space or an island back or .... what?
I had the doubt that I had ordered the wrong thing. But then I called IKEA and they told me that now, the base panels are different.
Anyone knows why??
Cutting the cover panels has been the most time consuming part of the job!!

3/4" seems like the thickness of a door...

Yes... maybe. But this is not a door for sure (no hole for the hinges).
And by the way the box comes with NO hardware whatsoever! And we have 3 of them so it cannot be a mistake.
What are these things?

(P.S. In my previous post I meant to say "there are NO instructions)

How big are they (width and height)? Are they the right size for base panels (24 x 30)? Or are they the larger oven panels which are 3/4" thick. There also is a panel used in the blind corner that is thicker.

They are about 27"x30" (had to cut about 3" to make flush with doors).
No they are not the large oven panels (we have one of those).
Yes it could be the panel which is used in the blind corner (in fact the instructions refer to that!). It is article number is 300-778-61 and it was sold to me as "PERF ABSTRACT CVRPNL/BASCRN30"REDNA).
So in fact you are right it seams that the same panel is used for base and for blind corner.
The wall and high cabinet panels say instead:
PERF ABSTRACT CVRPNL/WLCB33REDNA
PERF ABSTRACT CVRPNL/HICB80REDNA

So it looks like there is not a specific 1/2" thick base cover panel.
Beats me!

Re: Perfekt cover panels for base cabinets: why different?

It is a blind corner cabinet panel (makes excellent filler, btw), but there are regular base cabinet cover panels which are 1/2" thick.

do you know their article number by any chance?
in the on-line catalog I can find all the wall/high panels
IKEA | Built-in kitchens | AKURUM/RATIONELL system | PERFEKT ABSTRAKT | Cover panel for wall cabinet
IKEA | Built-in kitchens | AKURUM/RATIONELL system | PERFEKT ABSTRAKT | Cover panel for high cabinet

but none of the base panels. Strange, no?

To close this I called IKEA and yes indeed a 1/2" thick base cover panel exists (for ASBTRACT RED it is article number 500 778 60).
It is not on-line for some reason and yes my cover panels were ordered WRONG! However they are now mounted so I am not going to change them!
