Once the cabinets are installed, how much trouble is it to go back in and add another pullout drawer, like Susan did with her spice cabinet?

On a related note, how hard is it to move a pullout up or down after installation. It seems to me it should be fairly simple, once the stored items are removed to give one room to work. Am I overly optimistic?

That's actually Eva's spice cabinet, but I do have one like it. My kids use it for their dishes and so forth:

We added the extra 2 drawers to it after it was assembled (in fact, we originally purchased the shelves and later installed the pullout unit, not knowing that there WAS a 12" pull-out -- I was such a newbie!), and have moved drawers up and down several times. In a 12", it's not the easiest thing in the world...unless you're Gumby. But, it can be done. Just be aware that using and reusing the holes is detrimental to their holding ability, so try to minimize when you can.

True dat! You can rearrange the drawers, it's a simple matter of repositioning the glides that are attached to the sides of the cabinet. The 12" doesn't give you much room to work, but larger cabinets do.

You can get some extra euroscrews next time you're at IKEA, because you're bound to need them.

Thanks both of you. I understand how I confused the 2 cabinets, but not the 2 kitchens! Fortunately the narrowest cabinet I may reconfigure is 18".

What are euroscrews?

Euroscrews are the funky fat little screws used to screw anything into the holes in the cabinets. IKEA has spares of lots of parts at the customer service area, including the screws. They have several sizes that are very close in appearance so bring one along to make sure you get the right ones!

Thanks! Now that I've watched the installation video, I sort of know what you're talking about.
