Hi All. Love the forums and the website. Because of this website, I have begun installing Ikea cabinets in my kitchen but have come across a problem. I purchased the 18" 4 drawer cabinet but as mentioned in a similar post recently, the hole positions for the sliding brackets are not in the guides (it does have the top drawer and 3 drawer configurations, but not the 4 drawer).

I was able install the deep drawer (bottom) and was wondering if anyone could tell me the hole positions for the top 3 drawers (brackets).

Also, how do you remove the cabinet front piece? I think I may have installed it upside down because the difference was very small and to me it looked like it could go either way. Thanks in advance!

Mary

d1482 -- Welcome to the site! Glad you're posting on the forums.

I can't answer your question about the hole positions, but I can tell you there's a FAQ on removing the drawer fronts on the Fansite side. Just click on the Home button at the top right of your screen, then follow the navigation to the FAQ's. Look for the FAQ on disassembling a drawer. It's really easier than you might think to take the fronts off.

Good luck!

Jgsearls and GardenOf Darwin, thank you very much for responding to my post. I was able to get all the drawers installed. For future reference for those that may put this together, the hole positions for the drawer rails are: 4, 9, 14, and 22 (from the top of the cabinet).

GoD, thanks for the reference to the FAQs in order to remove the cabinet front. It worked perfect. Thanks again for all your help.

Thanks for the follow up, Mary! It's always nice to know how these things work out, and it's great to have the information for future reference.
