About 6 mos ago I was with a friend at Ikea and fell in love with this little table - it was part of the Effektiv line at the time, the table top label says Effektiv Et (148.734.08) and I picked the legs separately, they are Effektiv (148.764.83). I took both home but decided not to assemble it until I moved.

Last night I tried to assemble it and found they didn't give me some critical parts!! If you look at this artist's rendering (this site is great, BTW) you'll see that there are metal parts that connect the legs to each other by attaching to the bottom side of the table. I am missing those parts. This means I have legs and a table top but no means of connecting the two.

I am not the handiest woman in the world, but I like this table and am willing to make a trip to Home Depot to try to find something I can use in place of those long metal connector things. I called Ikea customer service to ask for the assembly instructions/see if I can order spare parts and they're having a hard time tracking down those item numbers. I googled around and found this site...hopefully someone here is an expert and can help me.

That part would be called an apron, or perhaps a rail. Unfortunately, you probably will not be able to find that particular part at a hardware store, since it is specifically designed for that piece. However, there are some similar items at IKEA that might have a part that will work with your table.

I just installed a similar item called the MELLA table..perhaps the apron from that item will fit your piece? It's worth a shot if you can get the part and see if it fits. Alternatively, a folding rail system with legs called VIKA FALLE. The GALANT tables also come with a frame that mounts underneath the tabletop, that might suit your needs.
