Pullout pantry1580 missing wood plugs
Hi everybody,
We are in the midst of assembling and installing the kitchen. It's been taking a bit longer then we expected, not due to Ikea but due to soffit removal and having to deal with ceiling heat plus the fact that my husband couldn't get any time off until this week to fully work on it. We started in Beginning of June. Slowly it's getting old not having a kitchen and washing dishes in the itty bitty little bathroom sink.
So yesterday we were putting the pull out pantry together. The doors for the pullout pantry has 3 Hinge holes, which use those wood plugs to use with the pullout drawers. As I read in the forum, they are supposed to come with those plugs, but mine didn't. I tried Wood crafts store, but they don't have the right ones.
Is there a way to get them from Ikea? can I get them from Ikea online store? Does anybody have the parts number for the wood plugs?
How can I get them?
I don't understand how Ikea can sell the pullout pantry and then not include these plugs.

Re: Pullout pantry1580 missing wood plugs
I forgot to mention, my closest Ikea is in Portland, Oregon which is 1 1/2 hours from my home.
So I really would prefer if I did not have to drive 3 hours, just to get some wood plugs.
considering the gasoline prices, at that rate I could buy a expensive tool to make them myself
Which I don't necessary want to spend the money on either.
Ikea should have a place, where one can easily order missing parts (free of charge, of course), there Ikea seems to have a problem with having parts missing in orders.

Re: Pullout pantry1580 missing wood plugs
Welcome! If you ordered a pullout, you should have some packages with fronts for your internal drawers. In those you will also find the fittings for turning a door into a giant drawer front, including the round wood plugs.

Re: Pullout pantry1580 missing wood plugs
I know that previously (waaaaaay back when I was in Kitchens) the *only* pull-out that came with plugs was the set of 3 drawers for the 12" pull-out. Because the 15" pull-out isn't a pre-fab set of drawers all packaged together (like the 12" set of 3) it didn't come with plugs.
So I guess what I'm saying is that they may not be "missing" at all... back in the day they wouldn't have come with them in the first -place. A quick call to the Portland Kitchens Dept. should clear it up!

Re: Pullout pantry1580 missing wood plugs
NBeth
would you or anybody else, by any chance know the Article number of the 'fronts for the internal drawers' package?
Is it 900 544 23?
Because all I see are the internal drawers, which look like they have a white drawer bottom. But I can't find the drawer fronts. I assume the package can't be to large. I wonder if they forgot to add them, because I can not find any thing with that number.

Re: Pullout pantry1580 missing wood plugs
Okay, we found them. I mean "I" found them. My husband said he went through everything three time and they are not there. I look in the garage cabinet, where all the smaller stuff is stored and the first package I grabbed, after I stepped up my step stool, was the one. And yes they have the plugs in there.
I am somewhat relieved now.
