As we looked for the drawer fronts we just found out, that they got us the 2 corner cabinets CB37WB in birch instead of white as I specified. There the horizontals wall cabs only came in white Frame, we went with white for the whole kitchen. On the Ikea planner it shows the cabs come in white and birch. I don't know how the Ikea person helping us could have put the order in like that.
Unfortunately it shows it in birch in the draft order, something we definitely overlooked when we (my husband that is >lol<) went over it. Who would think though you are getting one birch cabinet, if everything is supposed to be white frame. I would not have caught that either.
So it is probably to late to do something about it.
So now we are stuck with a birch frame in a white frame kitchen.
My husband thinks it will be okay and the birch might not show after the doors are in. We will have Nexus yellow brown panels on the back. But I think, every time I open that door, I will see birch, instead of white.
Is there something one can do, to at least not have to see the birch through the cracks of the doors, if it shows.
Will it be visible?
There is no way I can wait for Ikea to get us the right frame. That would put the whole project on ice for weeks.
Not a happy Ikean, right now. I love their stuff (grew up with it in Germany) but I don't like their service in US
