Our toddler marked up our new Stat white cabinets with a black Sharpie. My wife scrubbed off the Sharpie marks with soap and water, but was a bit too aggressive as the areas she cleaned now are a bit duller than the surrounding areas of the cabinet. Plus since we have nice, new pot lights, making it easier to see the imperfections.

Is there any way to restore the shine of the scrubbed areas of the cabinets? Wax? Lacquer?

I think you may be out of luck, the paint is worn down, and there will be little you can do to spot-fix it. You could paint or replace the door completely. (someone did post a Benjamin Moore paint match for Stat white somewhere on this site, you could search for it) This might be worth leaving until your young artist is a bit older?

Btw- I've had good results getting even sharpie off with the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
