Can you remove the drawer front if you put a 6 inch door on a bigger drawer/

Yep. The directions on how to remove the drawer front are in the FAQ's on the Fansite side (click on home in the upper right corner of your screen). These directions, I've been told recently work from the right side of the drawer. If you're on the left, you have to reverse the direction you turn the screwdriver.
