Tundra - Medium Brown Laminate Installation
I've read everything I can find on installing this flooring. What I can't find is anything on stairs. I know I need some time of stair nose to make the install look finished and professional. The problem is, I can't find any such part. I found a multifunctional piece for gaps and transitions, but it doesn't appear to work with stairs.
I really want to put laminate on the stairs...have you ever lugged a vacuum up the stairs? It would be great to just grab a swiffer and hit the stairs.
What can I do?

Re: Tundra - Medium Brown Laminate Installation
I've installed Tundra on stairs, but it's not an easy thing to do.
You need a molding of some sort that attaches in a certain way, and is sturdy enough to stay in place, while at the same time keeping the flooring in place.
I have used a metal stair nosing and a piece of outside corner wood molding, both with the home owner's permission. Neither is a good look, but they work. You use nails to hold the molding place, carefully placed so as to correspond to the holes you have to pre-drill to allow for expansion/contraction of the material.
If you have pets (esp. larger dogs), they are going to HATE it with a capital H-A-T-E!!

They don't have a product specifically for stairs? Everyone else does! I guess I'm going to have to go to Lumber Liquidators or something.

Re: Tundra - Medium Brown Laminate Installation
I wish they did. I'm going to end up with a solid wood for ($$$), but I would have bought Tundra if they had a stair nosing. I really like the way it looks.
