Hy I'm new here. I’ll apologise in advance as this may not be the way to begin a new thread, but I ‘m really tired and couldn’t find any other way to do this without having to find a member to post it to individually. Obviously as I don’t know anyone it’s a bit difficult to decide whose the best member to ask.

I've just purchased a new set of customized Pax vikadel [glass door] wardrobes. I was doing OK until the doors. I can't work out how to put together the 'easy' snap hinges!!??

I can see how they are supposed to fit together, I've adjusted the screws to make the space bigger but they just won’t snap in...aghhh. It just seems as though the c shaped gap isn’t big enough to accommodate the bar and therefore won't snap on.

It makes it look like you can just snap them together with your finger tips on the instructions [and I use that term loosely] on the side of the components bag.

Am I missing something here, or is it normal to have to break fingers to get the darn things to snap together. I actually expected this to be the easy bit and the door hanging and aligning them to be the challenging bit. I’m just hoping I haven’t just got a duff set of hinges.
Iv'e tried uploading a photo of the hinges but I can't seem to do it I got an error message.
I am going to try and contact IKEA tomorrow. but any help [with diagrams/ information links if possible] would be deeply appreciated.

Hi Maria, welcome to IKEAFANS!

Unfortunately I don't have first hand experience with the PAX hinges, though I'd really like to.

Just off the top of my head it sounds like there's something that's just not going together right? Is it happening with just one hinge?

In any case I've moved the thread to Assembly and Installation where it's got a better chance of being seen .

thank you for responding so quickly. I 'ver solved the problem, I went back and had another try and I'm embarrassed to say that all I had to do is just turn the smaller section around and it did just literally snap in!!

I don't know how could have been so stupid [in my defence I was getting a bit tired. So now the doors are on and they look fabulous
