We are about to purchase an IKEA kitchen from the Atlanta store and had been considering using INSIDEJOB (the IKEA 3rd party installer) for the measuring, design and Installation.

Our thinking is that they have probably installed a load of kitchens and therefore could offer some handy hints in the design process as to what works and doesn't. I could also use them as a double check on my measuring and planning, and as they only charge $75) which is then refunded if we purchase, it seemed like a no brainer.

Also if we involve them early in the process and then use them for installation, then we hope that there may be more 'accountability'?

I was wondering if anyone had used this company or similar companies in the Atlanta area that they could recommend.

I had noticed a post from Detective Mum which had initially endorsed them but she then took that back, so I am a bit wary now.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

We used Inside Job services and can recommend them highly! Very professional, came on time, price was as quoted, and they immediately refunded the amounts for work that we didn't need. However, do be careful about their subcontractors -- you can probably find a cheaper plumber on your own, for instance.

I wanted to update this thread with my experience... I ended up using Inside Job and I've been so pleased! We used them as a GC for many things... drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring - there were too many steps for us to tackle the coordination of this project on our own. Everything has been top notch and my cabinets look great. There are still a few more steps to go before we're completely finished, but I'm comfortable giving my endorsement based on all the great work they've already done. As an added bonus, everyone at Inside Job is a pleasure to deal with. Refer to my blog for pictures.
