Last night, I picked up the door and cover panel for my 49" corner cabinet. I got the door on fine but the cover panel is confusing me. this will be the first one i'm installing. Should some hardware to attach this with have been included? Should it completely cover the open space on the otherside of the door? the cover panel also only seems to have 4 holes for screws(two on the top and two on the bottom)on one side of it which would mean that it would only attached on one side. do you screw in from the outside or should some sort of bracket be involved?

Thanks!

Frequently my only value as a moderator is to acknowledge people's questions. Once again, I don't have an answer for you- but I can TESTIFY that you here, asking a question!

And while that doesn't get that 49" Corner Cabinet Cover Panel installed, hopefully one of our experts will hep you out. And of course, every question answered is a wee bit more knowledge for us all.

Are the 4 holes just pilot holes for 4 screws maybe? I really have no idea what cover panel you have or what it might look like, but my impression is that every little hole whether it's half drilled or full drilled has some purpose or allows some accessory to be added. Half drilled holes sound like pilot holes to me. Can you just align the cover panel, and use 4 wood screws to attach it?

If you look through the screws and stuff you got with your 49"' cabinet, you will find2 L brackets, 4 screws that are about 1/2" long (pan head) and (2) 3" wood screws.

You will also notice that on the back of your panel there are not only those 4 holes along the far edge(this edge goes to the rear of the cabinet) there are 2 very smallpredrilled holes along the other edge.

Now, on the middle post of your 49" cabinet, you will see(in the interior) two deep step drilled holes. About the size of a dime each. This is where the long wood screws go. Insert them,in the tp and bottom holes, all the way through so that they stick out the other side. This will help you line up the predrilled holes. Screw the top one in a little bit, not tight.

Then attach theL brackets to the rear. The holes should line up as they always do.

Now return to the front screws and tighten them down. TAA DAA. Done.

Good luck!
