Help needed - installation of microwave+oven build in combo into akurum cabinet

We purchased a kitchen cabinets (Akurum Adel medium brown) and appliances (NUTID build in microwave and oven (30").

Issue:
Our contractor put together is high cabinet for microwave and oven (30"x88"x 24"). He doesn't know how to cut front panel to make microwave and oven fit in correctly. He told us that because of the microwave buid-in kit (extensions) the build-in parts for the microwave are going to stick out for the thickness of the front panel. He says that those "extensions" (or wings as I call them) have to be screwed into the side of the cabinet frame and that front panel can't fit properly. The instructions are not very detailed - they tell you just to cut one big rectangular space in the middle of that panel and that is about it.
I see on all the IKEA pictures that those appliances are perfectly leveled with the cabinet fronts (nothing is sticking out).
PLEASE HELP!!!!!! Did anyone installed DATID or NUTID microwave + oven combo in a high cabinet and knows what is the secret here?!?

I would appreciate any feedback.
Thank you SO much!
Tina

Re: Help needed - installation of microwave+oven build in combo into akurum cabinet

There are two options:

1. Mount the oven panel with the cutout (which only leaves 3/4" on the sides) and then install the appliances 'in front' of the panel.

2. Install the appliances with the trims aginst the face of the cabinet and cut filler(s) to fit between the units/drawers/doors.

I prefer the second option.

Thank you so much torrus.

We have tried "option 1" and it did not really work (appliances were sticking out for an inch and it just looked wrong).
We were afraid to totally cut the panel into pieces and try "option 2", but I guess will have to do it that way.

I'll keep you all posted (and try to post photos), so in the case anyone has the same question in the future - they would know what worked.

Hi, I'm having some doubts on the installation of the Nutid Micro/Oven in the high base cabinets. If anyone can help me out I would be very greatful.
