I worry about the base cabinets not feeling sturdy using the plastic feet and ledger board in the back. Are most people using the plastic feet? I think once you bolt the cab to the wall, it helps to strengthen it. As well as having countertops. What happens if someone sits on your countertop? The feet won't break?
They are rated for quite a bit of weight - I believe many people put granite countertops on top of the legs. I have laminate so I couldn't tell you for sure...
As for weight, make sure you read the leg instructions. I fortify them a bit by putting a small screw through the leg casing to secure it a bit - I just got sick of flipping the cabs over & having the legs fall out. But they are very strong & I would have no fear of sitting on my cabs & I'm um... 240+ (well, I'm ~6'4")
Once the cabs are on the legs & secured in the back, the cab is very secure.

The legs are rated at 275 lbs. each, or a bit over half a ton PER cabinet. So they are plenty strong, even though they don't look it!
There is a little tab on the legs that will break if you try to make it lower than the standard height unless you break the tab off first. Not knowing that could be a problem if you need to lower the leg!
I believe that the ledger is not as good as using four legs - it is only 5/8" material, and if the wall isn't straight (and very few are) the cabinet won't have much support at the back. With four legs you can quickly level the cabinet and line it up with the front of the adjacant cab.
We had granite countertops installed on our Ikea cabinets yesterday. During the delivery, the granite guys were lugging in a 250 pound section of counter, and rested the whole thing on the edge of an island cabinet (BD15). I cringed, but the cabinet (and its legs) didn't even creak, they took the weight without any issue at all.
