Bottom of horizontal wall cabinet

Hi.
I have long distanced ordered my cabs (I live in Memphis). I have 3 30" horizontal wall cabinets going in above my stove area, the bottom of the cabinets is at about 42" above the stove. When I ordered, I asked the Ikea man about ordering the cover panels for the bottom of the cabinets since they'd be so visible. He said I wouldn't need them because the bottoms of those are designed not to need cover panels to hide the cam bolts. Well.... they're not, or I have put them together wrong (which I don't think I did). Anybody have any help/suggestions on how to deal with the exposed cam bolts?

this will be my third post on the forums asking questions and I NEVER get answers, can somebody please help me this time THANKS!

Re: Bottom of horizontal wall cabinet

Hello and sorry you didn't get answers to previous questions. Sadly your Ikean told you wrong. But, there caps especially made to cover those types of openings. Some stick on, other snap into the plugs. Your local big box hardware store should carry them. If not, Fastcap is a reliable online source.

Re: Bottom of horizontal wall cabinet

The screw cap covers are a good thing.

But, if you DO want to cover the bottom to match the rest of the cabinetry, just use a standard wall-cabinet cover panel (which usually go on the side edges of an upper cabinet run)

And about never getting answers... sorry about that. Sometimes it can help to ask again, or ask in a different forum (for example, if you were to post a question on "flooring" in the "decorations" forum, it might not be seen by the right person)

What other things did you need help with?
