waiting for install estimate...i'm nervous!

they are kindly breaking down the estimate for me so i can have a menu to pick and choose from based on what i can afford.

in perfect world i would go on vacation for a week and come home to a perfectly installed beautiful kitchen. in real world that is probably out of my budget.

i'm capable of doing the vast majority of it myself but i don't want to!

Just curious - what company or person is preparing your quote?

Might try getting multiple quotes from one of the estimate companies out there

Do you think you're getting charged too much?

One great way to get pricing on projects like this is to submit your project inquiry into one of the companies that helps match you with qualified remodeling contractors.

For example, at RemodelingIn Town.com, you can submit your project info for free, and then lots of contractors can see the project. They have this technology that makes sure the contractors who can actually do your job can then contact you to give you an estimate. I think it's pretty cool cuz you can save money once you get a bunch of quotes, ya know?.

i plan on getting multiple quotes, of course...

i've had a REALLY hard time getting contractors to call me back, i think partly because it's a rather small job.

i tried using service master, whom i've had great luck with in the past, but none of the contractors that i matched with will return my phone calls.

The company i'm currently waiting on is an ikea certified installer recommended by White Marsh Ikea and another ikeafan...Hapsburg Construction.
