Need brackets to help support cabinets???

Talked to a contractor yesterday and when I told him we wanted to use IKEA cabinets he said he'd have to add in additonal Lbrackets in the corners of the cabinets because they're wobbly. Is this true?

No, it's not true. If he actually has installed IKEA cabinets he would know that, so I imagine he isn't familiar with the kitchen cabinets. There might be some other IKEA stuff he's found to be wobbly, and maybe he's basing his opinion on that?

There is sometimes a clear resistance to IKEA from contractors who are used to traditional cabinets. If they are willing to be open minded, though, they generally end up extremely impressed. Just make sure your contractor installs the cabinets the way IKEA says to, rather than the way he "usually" does it, and you'll both be happy.
