I asked this question once before but I don't think I properly described it. Here's to my second chance.....cause I really need help!
Our drawer cover panels came with 4 holes but the pictured instructions show 6 holes. On the right side and left side, there are 2 holes each totaling 4. These are for the brackets. The other two holes for the rod used to glide the drawer are non-existent.
We can't decide if this is a mfr. defect or if we're supposed to drill ourselves. From the picture and by looking at the end of the rod, there should be holes that allow the rod to snap into place.
Just a guess here, but if you are probably talking about a deep drawer because it came with rods. I think it also should come with a paper template that shows you where to drill the holes for the screws where the rods attach. If you don't have a template, I bet someone here could give you the location if you tell us what size drawer you're dealing with.
We have 15 and 18" drawers. We haven't located a template (should it be in the box? The directions don't mention that either.) It'd be great it you could tell us how to locate one!
Ally - now that I've found my directions and looked at my drawers, I think this kind came with holes pre-drilled. The base pullouts are the ones with the templates. You can probably figure out what size hole will accommodate the metal end of the rods, though. The holes on my 15 and 18-inchers are 8-1/8" up from the bottom edge of the drawer.
The only idea I have for why you don't have the upper hole is that you might be using a short drawer front (like 6.25") with a deep drawer box. The short drawers don't have the rods, so they don't have the extra holes. They attach with just those 2 bracket things.
Thanks for the help. We've come a long way in our renovation project. All of the cabinets are assembled and after we seal the brick in the kitchen, we'll move forward with installation.
This message board is a big help....thanks again for your help. We ended up realizing that the shallow drawers don't need the glider, as you mentioned.
