Go to your local Hardware store and buy a dental tool looking kind of pick. They typically come in a 3 pack, straight, L, and curved, have orange grips and are in the $5 tool table at Ace or Sears.

Hi

These aren't screws, they are cams which tighten over pegs.

To tighten them properly turn them until they are tight and then another 8th of a turn and they will lock into place.

To remove them you need to put a thin screwdriver down the hole and wiggle them out.

They are a pain to get out, and in my experience you will ruin the finish around the hold once you pull it out.

Are you sure they need to come out? If the two parts you are connecting don't fit well it might just be the assembly screws that need to be tightened.

Or did you put the small cam locks into the small hole?

Personally I just screw a screw into the center and use a pair of pliers to pull up.

Question Re: How to remove screws (110126, 103430, 110630)

In order to remove ,do you turn counterclockwise ? Having done that how do you grip the screw?

Re: How to remove screws (110126, 103430, 110630)

If you have already disconnected it from the peg it doesn't mater which way round the cam is.

You need quite a large screw to grip in the top of the cam. To pull it out you need pliers. Be careful though as you can break the top of the cam.

My preferred method is still to put a thin screwdriver in the peg hole, wiggle it under the bottom of the cam and lift the cam enough for it to poke out of the top where you can get a grip on it to remove it.

If that doesn't work, or if the pieces are still attached then I use the screw method and you will need to make sure that the arrow on the cam faces the peg hole.

So is it easiest to remove screw and then tease cam out?

Usually but not always!

Sometimes they come out really easily and sometimes they dont, so you need to try the screw method.
