My design has gone thru many iterations so far. Much of the reason was due to the physical limitations in the kitchen, but I think we have all the issues worked out, except one question. If this is resolved, Iamgonna godown toour store tomorrow first thing and put my partial order in.I planto order the frames for the wall cabinets and at least one door (Karsebo Beech) if they have it so my wife can decide on the wall color.

If I put a panel board between the fridge and dishwasher to support the cab above the fridge, will it also be able to support the countertop above dishwasher? My dishwasher is going tobe at theend of the countertop. If that is the case, how do I stabalize the countertop? With a ledger board right beneath it on the wall?

My wife perfers Pragel light grey marble effect countertop. Will it be too heavy on one side without proper support?

I may have found my own answer. This picture came from the web site I posted earlier. It is a DC IKEA certifiied contractor web site. They post pictures from each project they did.

I can see they made a frame right above the dishwasher and on one end a ledger board is attached to the 15" pantry. In my case, I will have one attached to the panel board, looks like.

Looks like a good solution to me. Seeing the picture makes it clearer exactly why you were thinking about a ledger board. That's the way I'd go, though I might try to turn the board running across the top of the DW in the picture on it's edge so it provides more support to the edge of the counter, hard to tell from the picture, but it *looks* like they might have it on it's side? Wouldn't add a lot of stiffness that way... Devil's always in the details though... I'm sure Susan is heartily tired of hearing me say "This part should be easy!" during projects.

	DW definitions DW can mean Dear or Darling Wife (or substitute your expletive), or alternatively DishWasher. Take your clues from the context.
