Parts needed to install 12" drawers
When I bought the parts for my hutch, I assumed the bottom section would be a standard 24" deep base. Each frame is 36" wide and I had planned for a row of 18" drawers across the top. We got the bases assembled and affixed to the wall when DH walked in saying, "What are those doing there? We don't have room for those! We don't have room for a hutch! Get rid of all the cabinets!"
Um. They've been in the plan for a couple of years now. So.
I offered to have the base cabs converted to wall cabs to save 12" of space (but no way am I getting rid of the entire hutch idea) and went down yesterday to get the wall cabs and a bunch of 12" deep by 18" wide drawers.
Installing the regular base drawers involves a section of wood and a rail. Do I still need the rail? Were they supposed to have sold me a shorter section of wood for between the two drawers?
