i recently moved and seem to have lost all of the fastening hardware for my wall cabinets (metal blocks and bolts for the suspension rail, bent metal clip washer, and plastic "L" cover).

does anyone know how i can get more without buying the whole cabinet?

thanks for your help!

From me! I have several packages worth.

Shoot me a PM and I'll get them out - but give me a count of how many you need.

There's a private messaging function - I have the plastic caps, and ganging hardware.

List exactly what you need and I'll PM you with the specifics of what I have, and get your address.

if you have them, i would love to buy 50 pcs of each of the following:

- metal blocks and bolts that slide within the suspension rail (i have the rail itself)
- bent metal clip washers and nuts, that go inside the cabinet
- plastic "L" covers

please shoot me a PM...

latent,

I certainly have no where near 50 pcs. of anything, I'm afraid! I did contact my local IKEA and there's the option of going through missing hardware to get your pieces.

With a large bulk order, I'm not sure how/if they would charge you.

lisa,
thanks for looking into it. while i am a "fan" of ikea, i have to say the customization of parts that are so difficult to get make me a little less so.
take care.

I frequently feel the same way about proprietary parts, it's irritating to be locked into a single source of supply, particularly if the source makes it cumbersome to get replacements. On the other hand, if you had conventional cabinets your wouldn't have been ABLE to take them when you moved...

I'd check with service/missing hardware and see how hard it's going to be to get replacements. I know we lost one of the bolts that fits into the square slide for the suspension rail, and had no problem whatsoever getting a replacement the next time we went into IKEA for something else. I DO wish they would get a *clue* about web presence and let you request parts etc via the web... For such a forward thinking company, IKEA seems to have a major blind spot where the internet is concerned.

I was at Burbank, CA store yesterday. In their As-Is room, they have a big pan of hardware parts, bolts, screws, wood filling, etc.You pick what you need and pay$5.00 for half aplastic bag. Forgot what size the bag is, but at least there is a source for missing parts. So, you might want to check your local IKEA store As-Is room.
