Help with Savern Shower Tension Rod
Hi All,
I recently bought the Savern Curtain Rod, which is supposed to extend up to 96 inches. However, I canot figure out how to make it longer, and the instructions it came with aren't seeming to help. Does anyone have any experience with this? Can someone walk me through it?
Thanks!

Re: Help with Savern Shower Tension Rod
Welcome to IKEAFANS, garth.
I've never worked with this piece, so I'm not speaking from personal experience. But looking at the instructions at the IKEA website, is it possible you missed one of the subtle visual clues on page 4, that indicate which end of one rod goes which way in relation to the other rod?

Re: Help with Savern Shower Tension Rod
Thanks for the reply, Chuck. I have actually tried it with both ends of the rod.
Unfortunately, if I am not able to figure it out, I will probably have to return it.

Re: Help with Savern Shower Tension Rod
As I said, I have no experience with that pieces itself - I was jusr going off of what I saw in the instructions.
Good luck.

Re: Help with Savern Shower Tension Rod
We just figured this out: pull the 2 rods apart. No need to twist, just pull as hard as you can. It takes a lot of strength. If the rod gets too long, you will need to pull them completely apart and insert the smaller rod again as shown on pg. 4 of the instruction booklet.
