Oven and high cabinet question.

I'd like to get some feedback from those that have an oven/high cabinet.
Some photos I've seen show the oven sitting flush with the door and drawer faces, others I've seen protruding out a bit.
Is this a function of the oven or how the high cabinet was installed?

I'm going to be installing a DCS oven and microwave and would like them to sit flush, if possible. I have not cut the face panel yet.

TIA

Re: Oven and high cabinet question.

Like someone mentioned in a post from a few years ago, the oven panel is mostly cut away anyhow so I did a dry run last night mounting the built-in DCS microwave (which is made in the US!) and I'm pretty certain that I'll be able to mount both it and the oven directly to the high cabinet with no issues.
They won't be flush but they shouldn't look stuck-on either.
I'll post some photos when I have some time.

Re: Oven and high cabinet question.

The oven panel is pretty much a waste of money when you're installing a 30" into a 30" cabinet. As you noted, most of the panel gets cut away, and the part that remains (usually about 3/4" or so on each side) is covered by the oven. And there is the issue of the oven sitting forward of the doors and drawer fronts.

What you will most likely need is a filler piece above and (maybe) below the oven, but you can save yourself some money and use a 30" single drawer front for that purpose.
