We have the 15 inch tall, 24 inch deepby 36 inch wide cabinet for over the fridge. I've heard you should bolt the 24x24x36 fridge cabs to the ceiling for additional support because it is so heavy, but is this necessary for the shorter 15 inch version? I have an iven cab on one side, and a 15 inch x24 deep pantry on the other side i will be ganging to.

Thanks! Debbie

My 15" sits between 2 of the tall pantries, bolted to the wall. It's been hangin in there for a few weeks, and looks very solid.

I just had my 36" X 24" 24" above the fridge cab installed over the weekend. You can read my other thread about how I struggled getting it up.

I bolted the cabinet on the suspension rail at the back. On its left side, I "ganged" it up with a 15" tall pantry using 4 screws. It has been 2 days and still hanging up there.

I worry about its weight though. I hope this is enough until I gang it up with another smaller wall cabinet to its right next weekend.

The suspension rail attachment is sufficient to hold any fridge cabinetÂ* -Â* ganging it to adjacant cabinets helps distribute the load but is not necessary.Â*
