Hello, I'm heading off to Ikea soon and would love some clarification about 24" base pullouts. Can a 24" base pullout be ordered in the same way that a 15" one is ordered (i.e. catalog number BPO15 which I assume becomes BPO24) or does it get ordered in pieces? If I need to order it by pieces, do I get the shallow drawer front and the door for the one door/one drawer cabinet + 1 rationell deep drawer and 1shallow drawer?

I thought I understood, based on threads I read last month, that the 24" pullout is available. When I asked about it in Stoughton a few weeks ago, the kitchen salesperson stated that there is no template for a 24" pullout (one thread did warn that the info may not be spread to all Ikeas yet.) I'm very green with all of this and could use any help. Let me know if I'm wrong. Once I start getting this stuff in front of me I know that process (and why a template is needed) will start to gel better. I just want to make sure I know what I need to get when I'm there and what size door and drawer fronts I need to order if the Ulriksdal oak isn't in stock.

I understand (thanks to torrus) that the deep drawer front article number is 601.159.70. We plan to use a 3-drawer unit next to the pullout.

pieces you will need to order:

24" cabinet
24" deep drawer (for the pull out part)
however many internal drawers you want along with corresponding rationell drawer fronts.

the template comes in any rationell deep drawer front. so if you're using one anywhere it will come in that pack, there is one you can download around here somewhere, or you can just buy a deep drawer front. i have some extras at home (i think), but am on the road so can't be sure. i could mail one to you if none of the other options work well enough for you

i used a 24x24 pullout with a shallow drawer above it, always another option

Isn't Dulci a wonderful modifier? A Modifying Maven, I'd say. Thanks Dulci! I don't believe we have the 24" template - I know we have the 12" which could be used with a little modification, but if you've got the 24" and can scan it when you get home, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!!!

they're all the same

i used the 15" to make my 21" pull out. i think the 12" is the only different one. (if it even is)

i had to log on tonight... i passed the almost opened draper ikea

you're just drilling for the attachment hardware and the rail... and there is a bit of fudge room

the 12" is a different template, but shouldn't be. I used the same template for all of my pullouts -- the 15x80 pull out pantry, the 12" pullout and the 15" pullout.
