Hello!
After assemblng and installing our 88x24x24 pantry (tall cabinet). I tried to install the 5 drawers to make it a pullout using the 64 inch door. I did not receive any templates or 21 page booklets with any of the drawers. After some searching in these forums, it appears that the Ikea sales person either ordered the regular drawers or omitted a kit to help attach these drawers to the 64 inch door. If I am on the right track in my thinking, does anyone know the stock number for either the correct set of drawers or the installation kit for this particular pantry? I'd like to try to find out before I go and ask the people at the local IKEA to help. I lost confidence in them when I realized the problem was likely from them. I know the people here are very much on top of it when it comes to what parts go with which cabinet.
Thanks
markshimo
you only need to buy a "rationell 24" deep drawer front" i don't have the article # for you, but that front will contain the template and wood plugs which you'll need...
is there a reason you're doing a pullout and not a door which opens to reveal pull out drawers? 153 degree hinges were introduced last year and they allow for usage that way... just a question cause it's not too late till you have drilled the door.
(btw, you might have the drawer fronts and not realize that the template is in there.)

Re: 88x24x24 Pullout pantry
I put a base pull out in my mom's kitchen for cooking supplies, the other is my master bathroom where i have 153 hinges on a pantry.... thought you might like an illustration of the difference (sorry if you already knew this )
btw, you can see the shallow and deep rationell drawer fronts in the pictures.
Rationell definition
Rationell is a line of kitchen products that enhance the basic AKURUM/FAKTUM lines, including the Blum-made drawer boxes.
Hi,
I like the your pantry with the 153 degree hinges, unfortunately for me, I have a counter next to the pantry on what would be the door opening side. I think the counter overhang might keep the door from opening all the way and prevent use of the drawers. I don't see the rational deep drawer front on my draft order, receipt or in the pile of boxes, so I guess I have to order that item.
Thanks for the help.
you would need the drawer fronts for any of your internal drawers since only 2 will be attached to the door. otherwise you'll have empty fronts and your stuff will slide off
I posted a list of article numbers for drawer parts that I think includes the number for the drawer front in question. Check out: Drawer Dampers and Integrated Rails - Article Numbers Guess I need to add Drawer fronts to the name of the article!
Hope that helps and if not, that someone with the right answer will come along.
Susan

With the exception of clearance for handles, the pantry with 153 degree hinges would work where you can get a pullout pantry to work. You only need to open the door 90 degrees to pull out the drawers and the door becomes flush with the side of the cabinet.
The only thing you need to consider is the handle sticking out from the door which becomes a problem if you are flush against a wall. Since you say you have a counter next to the pantry this is probably not a problem for you.
