Emergency! Help w/ sink clips

Because Ikea in Woodbridge, VA and College Park, MD no longer sells single bowl stainless steel sinks (I was told they were discontinued and that "something" would replace them eventually), I went to Lowes and bought a 10 inch deep sink.

I cut the hole, and the sink dropped in perfectly. BUT, the sink clips that came with the sink cannot accommodate the 1.5 inch numerar aluminum effect ctrtop that I am using.

Are there any sink clips that would accomodate thicker countertops. I couldn't find any on the internet. Is there something else I could use in lieu of sink clips to hold the sink steady?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! David

Got pics of the clips?

Different sinks, different mounting. I'm thinking that a short metal strap could work, but without seeing the clips, I wouldn't know.

Here's an idea - if you bore the area of the countertop a bit thinner where the clips would go, that should work.
