Possible error - base cabinet

I just assembled a 30" Akurum base cabinet. Is it me or it there an "error" in the installation instructions? One of the 2 smaller boards (the top of the cabinet that touches the countertop seems to be oriented the opposite direction than you'd think it would go. The directions show nails on all 4 edges of the rear panel, however, to do this you'd have to nail through the white finished side of one of the 2 smaller boards (the one in the rear). Additionally, the non-finished (brown) side of that board faces forward.

Granted, it may not impact anything, but it seems odd. You'd think the board could just be turned around, but those locking nuts would not line up with the holes then).

Can anyone else confirm this?

Re: Possible error - base cabinet

you can turn the brace either way, some like the finished edge facing in others like it facing out. and there is a way to "flip" it so that either way works

Really? I would have thought so, but the tightening screws & wood "sticks" at the end forced one orientation it seemed?

(I guess it really doesn't matter since the only visible "brown" is on top in back, right?)

thanks again!

Re: Possible error - base cabinet

well, one way orients the camlocks up top, the other to the bottom, that's the significant difference (which in the end matters not at all )

always glad to help!
