Has anyone ever tried to do this? How time-consuming/difficult is it, if it's possible at all? I know it was a fairly complicated assembly but I don't think I'll be able to move it as-is to my new place. Any tips?

I moved just this past Sunday, and here's what I did. I removed the crossbraces (they make the x) and then the hamar midbeam. Then, I just removed the four bolts that hold the sides to the head and footboards. After that, I separated the head and footboards from the sides, and moved them like that. It isn't too difficult at all, and only took about 20 mins. Try not to strip the screws though, that's what gave me some trouble.
