Hi, I have purchased several Lack shelves (the ones that slide over the bars so appear to have no support) and the holes never seem to line up with the studs in my walls. I have tried very strong drywall screws and have torn them out of my walls on more than one occasions, with books or such.
Recently, my husband had a brilliant solution. He got out his trusty drill and added new holes in the metal where the stud would be. This way, they are very sturdy. Hope this helps someone.
They just opened the Ikea in Portland, Oregon so now I don't have to drive to Seattle for my fix.

Yep - the Lack shelves are only rated for 11#. The shelf is hollow honeycomb construction as it is, and when compounded with the bars out the a mounting bracket taking up half the thickness, it's understandble for the low rating.
Don't get me wrong ... it's a nice clean design that works wonders in many decors because there are no visible brackets to contend with, but know that there are limitations too.

I don't think the low weight load is due to the honeycomb construction (Malm beds and Expidit bookcases, among others, use the same material). It's due the issue that Jess and her DH ran into - a problem with installation, and the fact that the pre-drilled holes don't line up with studs. They're solution is right-on and one I've used any number of times.

Yes, speaking from experience, they can hold WAY more than what the instructions say once you've gotten the bracket holes re-drilled to line up with studs:
I don't know why they don't just make drilling the holes in the bracket part of the installation instructions.
I'd love to know what the stud spacing is in Europe. I bet those holes line up just right there.
I also had a few Lack shelves that just weren't working for me 'cause I hadn't used your brilliant solution. I think I may pull them out of the garage and give my DH a fun thing to do w/his industrial drill press at work.

W is a wall cabinet designation, as in W18, can be a stand-in for Wide, or when followed by a / stands for With.
