Corner Cabinet Trim

Hello All,
I am in need of your help. I wanted to know which tool you used to achieve the 67,5 degree cut for under the corner cabinet? What angle should the other 2 pieces attaching to the 67,5 piece be? Any pictures?
Thanks

Re: Corner Cabinet Trim

I used my table saw because that's what I have. On mine, I can change the angle of the blade, and cut it to the correct angle. It's just a miter cut, but instead of 45 on each side, it's 67.5. You can also use a hand saw and a miter box, a chop saw, miter saw, or radial arm saw.

Unfortunately, I don't think I have any close pics. This one I think has the finished product though.

One thing that you will notice on this pic is that I have a non-standard installation of the trim. Instead of using cover panels, I mitered all the corners and took the light rail all the way around the corners.

Thanks Kristen, I figured it out. I was making it harder than it was.

Re: Corner Cabinet Trim

This is the same problem I am encountering, what did you do to cut the trim? I have a mitre saw but the biggest angle I can cut is 50* on the saw I know there is a way to cut the trim with a mitre saw but i can't figure this out.

Re: Corner Cabinet Trim

hmmm...if it only goes up to 50, then it's going to be tricky. Maybe a plastic miter box and a hand saw would be easier for this particular cut.

Re: Corner Cabinet Trim

I was searching around and I think I can use a 17 degree bevel and make a 14 degree mitre cut and that should work, I am going to give it a shot when I get home tonight. I was never good at geometry.
