Abstrakt White kitchen in need of a backsplash
Our kitchen has been mostly finished for a few months now, but we haven't decided on a backsplash. We put up a stainless steel sheet over the range, the same width as the range (30"), but it looks silly since the wall cabs above are 36". The 36" sheet didn't look right, though, since it was wider than the range.
So we're thinking stainless steel sheet on the wall with the range. About the other wall, I'm not so sure. The kitchen is pretty shiny, so whatever would go there I'd want to be matte. And I'm not into mosaic tiles (used them in the bathroom, love them dearly, don't want the grout in the kitchen). Maybe wood veneer? Any thoughts?
Also confused as to handle backsplash under the shelves. Would love to do stainless steel up to the shelves there, if we can afford it, to have a magnetized memo board. Sigh. Not sure, though. Oh, and the floor is dark brown stained oak.
Thanks for any suggestions!
