Re: imperativ availability
Imperativ stainless panels are, curiously, available at Orlando even though the panels in a display kitchen disappeared some time ago. I did a quick check and it seems the item is still listed on the UK website, but not available to buy.
I hadn't expected the Imperativ panels to be in stock (found them more or less by accident). So now I wonder whether it would make sense to buy some, template the appropriate ones for electrical outlets, then send the batch to an auto body shop for a splendid paint finish.

Re: imperativ availability
While such is possible, mild steel sheeting would be easier to work versus the Imperativ panels.
- Stainless steel is not easy to cut.
- The Imperativ panels are fixed sizes; you can choose your own when having steel panels cut.
- Less prep work when painting, as for a good result, one would have to strip the clear coat off the Imperativ first.
As for why they were not available for a while ... there was a production stop due to quality issues.

Re: imperativ availability
Thinking of quality issues, I think the Imperativ panel installation at the Orlando store suffered some scratch damage before it was removed. Didn't seem terribly durable. Perhaps the current panels are better.
The Imperativ rail might work well with painted steel panels.

Re: imperativ availability
Well, for the price that these go for, we can't expect full polished 304 or 316 stainless, can we?
(My guess is that it's 409 stainless, as these panels are magnetic.)
