The backsplash is the last choice to be made. I'm worried that tile would be too "permanent," but I don't think I could keep stainless clean.

I was told that the kitchen is "dark," (black appliances except for the ss wall of fridge) so can I use:

OOOH I like the first one! With a darkish space, that looks like it would scatter the light and brighten it up! The second just looks a little dull to me.

the first is one of my favorite of the glass tiles, and prolly the only one i'd ever consider using. I LOVE the idea of these on the wall with the copper slate on the floor. plus they look great with the Adel MB
And, as you know, they uber reflective. i really like #1

ooooohhhhhh....ooohhhh.....ohhh.... I love choice #1 .. the second one doesn't do a thing for me ... but the first one is so warm and shiney and lovely... no contest in my mind... #1 is the clear winner!

now, i know i chose #1 but i will say in defense of #2 they are beautiful in real life. i know why you chose it. i just don't know that the extra color introduction is necessary but that picture doesn't do it justice and would serve to brighten up the space.

i still pick #1 though
