Good morning! We are renovating our kitchen, and we will be using the Lidingo cabinets. I want to do the backsplash in white subway tile. Being completely non-versed in kitchen renovation... when do we put the tile up? After both the cabinets AND countertops have been installed, or after cabinets but before countertops??? Also, is it acceptable to put the subway tile on all walls between the wall cabs and base cabs, or it that subway tile overkill?

Any advice will surely be appreciated! Thank you so much!

Hi Tashaa - the backsplash is installed after the cabinets and countertop is installed - and many people install the backsplash in the full space between the countertop and the cabinets - and some continute up the wall where windows and stoves w/ vents are. You can look in the blogs here for examples of kitchens - I used slate - and not subway tile. jgsearls kitchen has green glass subway tiles (she has a progress blog in the forums) w/ lots of photos , another recent one has red subway tiles - that one is a blog in the blogging system.

Hope this helps you to find some photos for examples ... there's tons of possiblities... you'll definitely want to look at some finished kitchens to see what you want to have in your kitchen.
