Hello!

I have a Malm bed in birch veneer that I would like to either stain or paint the black brown color. Is this possible? If not black-brown, any darker color? Please share all links related to this process.

There has been discussion in the past about the difficulties of painting/staining the IKEA veneer. It's not very thick and it's pretty well coated w /a clear top coat.

That being said, I thought I saw Karen McAloon on HGTV's Design Remix (Design Remix : Shows : Home & Garden Television) take a Lack looking side table, spray it w /a primer, then spray it black. She mentioned that the primer is the key.

	W definition W is a wall cabinet designation, as in W18, can be a stand-in for Wide, or when followed by a / stands for With.
