I am wondering how exactly the PAX MALM sliding doors attach to the rails. I have an idea for a bedroom closet that incorporates two 19" sections and a 39" section with the 39" section in the middle. Ideally I would like to be able to slide the middle section open so that we can put the TV in there. It seems like I should be able to do a rip cut of the doors so that I end up with 4 sliding sections (the two in the middle on the front of the track and the two on the sides on the back of the track).

I guess my question is: are there two mounting points per door so that I could cut them in half and hang each half individually?

I've attached the instructions for the guide rail... I'm not sure that it's clear enough to show what you need, but it's all I can scare up right now. Hope it's a bit helpful!

Looks like my idea might work. I'll have to venture down to IKEA and look at some doors that are already hung to make sure.

Aside from having to finish the cut edge, I think you're gonna have a stability issue with the cut half-doors. There are indeed two mounting points per door - a set of wheels on the bottom, and a spring loaded "tongue" at the top which rides in a groove in the top rail. The wheels and tongues are set fairly close to the corners of the door (with a couple of inches), which means you'll have most of the door flapping, with no anchor point to keep it in line and on track - it seems to me the cut doors will want to pivot on the single mounting points, rather than slides as they're intended.
