Can I use Ikea's Slatted Bed Base for a metal bed frame?
Hi!

I recently bought a full-sized mattress and universal metal bed frame from overstock. The mattress and frame are the standard full dimensions (54x75").

My question is if i could use just Ikea's slatted bed base on my metal bed frame as the support for the mattress

The frame is this:

My only concern is that the slats are only 53 1/8" wide, but it wouldn't do to have the slats fit too snugly, right?

Did you figure this out? My husband and I want to use the Ikea mattress & wooden slats on a metal bed frame. (Can't afford to get a nice bed frame right now.)
