i bought a sealy bed from leons and would like the malm bed frame, my matress shows 80inches but the frame showing 79 1/2, has anyone tried? or do i need to trim a half inch from the depressed frame?

Well, yes, the box spring I bought was a low profile box spring, only 4 inches high. And that set right into the frame flush. The actual mattress sits right on top and I'm happy with it.
